Who We Are and What We Do

Martrialk's Interest website was created by “Nana” with a Matriarch's care, concern, and guidance. My goal is to streamline the shopping experience for high-quality toys for children while building their curiosity, imagination, and learning span. All while building fun memories, one at a time. 

      In my early childhood, I had dolls, paper dolls, and other toys. As a teenager, I saw this beautiful Victorian dollhouse kit. I always wanted one, but at that time they were expensive.  When I became a Nana, I purchased my oldest granddaughter a dollhouse.  As my late husband, my son-in-law, and I were putting it together to surprise my granddaughter,  a memory was created that will last forever.  If I had captured a video of those two grown men putting the accessories/furniture in the dollhouse, you would see a beautiful scene of pure enjoyment.  The younger granddaughter has a small pop-up dollhouse made from hard cardboard and decked out. In a few years, the girls received another dollhouse, then another. Those dollhouses are still in the family. One of my granddaughters uses hers as a bookshelf.  

     My love of dollhouses was expanded to other toys like Hot Wheels. A collection was started for my granddaughters. Now, as grandsons have come on the scene, this means more toys. I like toys that children can learn from, but that are safe for small hands and have no loose parts that can pose a choking hazard or create other dangers.
